New Exclusive Song Available Now

There is a new track available in the exclusives section of The Lifers. It's an acoustic demo of the new song "I Am The Sun" - you need to have more than 30 points in order to access it so make sure you get posting up on the forums and completing tasks so you can download it!!

Here's a little more information about the song:
"I wrote this song about my life, and my relationship with my parents, friends and family. I recorded a quick version into my mobile phone with just me playing an acoustic guitar. The guys liked it so we did a quick acoustic demo - we are working on turning this into a song for the whole band to play, but for now it's just a quick demo. We will post up a better-produced version soon."

operations bore me

i just had an operation over the weekend and so i'm stuck at home all this week and possibly next week while i recover. it's well annoying, and I'm getting bored out of my mind. i can't play my drums for about 3 weeks so I'm getting really agitated. i pretty much spend my time playing call of duty 3 on my xbox. which is cool but not really what i was planning to achieve with my new year...
i saw one day life in my home town for the first time in ages the other day. i was a bit late for the show but i caught their last few songs and i managed to get some people to dance so that was wicked. :). haven't had a good dance at a show for a while. now i'm saving all my energy to see coheed at the end of this month
woohooo xD

email me if you get bored- i need contact witht he outside world

Work and home shouldn't have the same meaning..

I seem to be spending more and more time at work at the moment. I've been working 8 till 6 for the past week now and my desk is beginning to feel like home. I figured "hey, if it feels like home, why not make it more like home?". So i'm now pretty much doing as much lifers work as i physically can from my computer at work (without actually reducing the amount of work i do for my job), and that's where this blog is coming from as well.
My work is a bit out of town so at the moment the only thing keeping me sane are the emails i get to send to people. Thankfully i have friends in the same situation as me so we seem to keep each other company. If you're reading this and you're bored drop me a line at james@thelifers.co.uk and you can keep entertained during my day at work :).
I keep in contact with Max as much as i can while i'm at work to make sure i am running things right on the street team, and i think it will really help get things going now i can spend more time concentrating on it.
I've recently had news from Matt that one:day:life got featured on one of the podcasts he often listens to. Nice one Matt. Points coming your way, and you know what, I've just had an idea for a new street team task!

Update again soon, with new tasks

Timing is key...

I've been spending a lot of time on this computer recently trying to catch up with all the things that are going on in the street team right now. The concept is finally beginning to kick off and it's getting busier and more involving every day.
The forums are buzzing on fancorps at the moment, and because of this new orders are being posted all the time. If you haven't signed up for the street team yet click here and get going!

Points are earned by helping one:day:life and these are traded for all sorts of prizes.

I recently got invited down to feature on the new podcast, which was awesome : ). I talk about the street team on there as well so check out the podcast by following this link.

Check out the podcast, check out the street team, and check out the album if you haven't got it!

Very Short Update...

So it seems my blog is all over the place on the website nowadays so i better start posting in it : ).

In case anyone didn't hear one:day:life recently won a competition which allowed them to play at the reading festival this year.

Thanks solely to Matt Ledger for entering the video into the competition (nice one Matt : D).

This allowed one:day:life to get some much needed publicity and after putting on a great show the awarded place was definitely well deserved.

If you feel like you want to try and get one up on Matt and become the new leader in the "who's got one:day:life the best gig?" competition then get going and book those gigs everyone! (if you don't then book the gig anonymously....everything helps : P)

Now as I'm still recovering from being extremely ill I'm going to go and eat more food
