On a practical note, i left my phone in the cab last night so don't txt me if you ever do. It's annoying but it's my own stupid fault and i'm too ill today to be angry at myself.

Last night just had bad idea written all over it...well, some of it did, saw old friends and that is always good. I'm not great at apologies, they don't come naturally to me...i have an arrogant streak that runs deep and it gets me through a lot of things, but gets in the way of saying sorry.

Back to things i have some sort of handle on...the songs are starting to take shape. We've had the drum tracks done for a week or so but we had to take a break from recording to rehearse for a show but now we are back into the swing of things. We did the bass tracks over the weekend and they sound really cool. I was chatting about basses to some people at the show the other day and mine sounds best with brand new strings and my amp up loud. Altogether we nailed them over two days and have now started on the guitars. On most songs, you rarely hear just one guitar, it's usually a mixture of a load of different guitars playing the same thing. We're about a third of the way through recording the 'basic' guitar that will run through all the songs and then we'll use different amps, guitars, pedals, picks, microphones and other things to layer more on top. It'll sound good...trust me. I'm itching to start singing over it all.

That's pretty much all i've got right now. Sorry if that was just boring recording stuff but that's just where my head is right now. But don't worry...a lot of things seem to be falling down around my ears so i'm bound to be more f*cked up next time....
