So things are starting to build up the smallest amount of momentum, it's just up to us to keep things going. Some news got posted today on the site, you can vote for us as part of the Wharfedale competition. I am just glad we get to play the show in the first place, if we get any votes or anything like that it'll just be a bonus. Band competitions aren't really my thing (am I supposed to say that out loud??), we know some really cool bands and judging them against each other is something that I guess should be reserved for sitting around a table down the pub or something like that. A necessary evil I guess, either way i'm looking forward to the show, it's nice for us to get out of town.

We are invading the rehearsal space of a couple of friends of ours for the demos this weekend, we are just gonna de-camp there and chill out I think...this is gonna be the most relaxed recording i'll ever have done - no racing against the clock.

Came down to earth with a bump after my last post. I'm sorry it was so hard, it was probably my fault, but i'm a bit tired of pretending for you.

Anyway, less about that - more about the good things. We began pre-production on the new CD last night, running through the new songs while Kev plays along to a click track in his headphones. We are demoing the tracks over the bank holiday weekend, I will speak to the others about it but we'll hopefully stick some of the demos up on PureVolume. I'll make sure news gets posted on the site about it.

The studio is pretty much done, we just need to start recording, now how cool is that?? Dan and I will be doing guide tracks for the demo's next week, and even that is gonna be good fun, i am such a geek.

Ok, the show on the 29th is going ahead, but we need you all to be careful as apparently they have been having a few problems with the venue. Please keep safe, it'd be horrible if something happened at one of our shows. We debated not playing, but why let someone else control your actions?

New shows are being booked, we are happy (bumps included).

We will start demoing new songs very soon - although we have a million other things to do too. We are still doing up the van - the new wall goes in this week and a kick-ass alarm so u better get your shit together if you wanna be stealing our stuff.

More shows booked, looking forward to heading back to london in a few weeks, although in my opinion having a show in London is highly over-rated, i think this is like our third or something. Some shows haven't been posted up yet, just waiting for full confirmations etc.

Most of the equipment for the studio has arrived and the rest will be here in the next week or two. Trouble is, it might be a little while before we get a chance to do anything demo-like with it, we are still in the middle of upgrading the van and I am waaaaaaaaaay behind on booking shows. To be honest I am way behind in general, mainly because I got frustrated about things and took my eye off the prize. I'm back now in a big way.

There are 8 or 9 camera tapes staring at me from the desk, they need to be looked at, I'm sure there is enough stuff to get together a cool video for the site, hopefully next week.

The shows today and tomorrow are gonna be good - they have to be, otherwise someone up there is really going out of there way to screw me up.

"Hey dude, are you gonna write about this in your journal?".....No.

We've been working hard on making a few changes to our van so that it's more comfortable for long trips and putting in extra seats to take more people to shows. I feel like this is a period of preparation, it's cool to feel like things are getting done. Winter sucked as i really felt like we were just planning and nothing was actually happening, but it's all paying off now...

We are ordering the bulk of the studio equipment today so you should be hearing the first of the new demos within a few weeks. I am so excited it's crazy.
