Inner (Ear) Space

So I spent this morning helping my Dad search online records for some information about his grandfather who fought in World War I. We didn't manage to find anything, as the records from back then are pretty sketchy, but it's a pretty daunting sight when every document we saw had KIA (Killed In Action) written on it. In another hundred years the record of your life will probably be neatly stored by Google with an ad for your favourite breakfast cereal or something equally random posted all over it.

We've been back on the road the past couple of weeks and it's been great, Dan and I are playing an acoustic show in Manchester tomorrow. It's good to get out of here, even if it is just for a couple of days a week.

When you turn into a band geek, your life is made better by the simplest of things. I am getting some headphones to wear on stage that are being custom-made for me, which is one of the best things EVER in my opinion. In order for them to be made, I had to have silicone pumped into my ears and left to set...here's what came out:

I'll post up photos of my earpieces when they arrive - I am having them made transparent so you'll be able to see all the cool electronic wizardry inside them..

Dan and I recorded a live version of anew song called Honesty last night, it's available for free on the Street-Team if you want a copy, go grab it at www.thelifers.co.uk
